If he continued to play like this by now i think he would've been playing more "club-ish" music than even Dirty South is right now, not to mention to possibilities production wise
Sets like this and the WTP set are what keeps my fading hope somewhat alive that maybe one day, Ax will return to quality music. If I had to put money on it, I'd say Ax gives this axing shit another 2 years or so before finally realizing he can't get a top 10 track like DYWC and then he calls it quits. Retirement has gotta be close considering his age, don't y'all think?
Last I saw him was early 2015 solo in Vegas and there was still a lot of magic in his set and I could still see Axwell from this era. It wasn't like when I had seen him before, but there was still a lot of similarities.

Everyone is different. Jean-Michel Jarre is close to 70 and still touring the world. :D
Axwell may get tired of """""""djing""""""" (and I can understand, if I recall correctly Steve said that he doesn't picture himself being a DJ and throwing parties at 40). That's not that much of a problem, but I can't see him stop making music right now.
Axtone is still running, house music is still something hot at the moment, there's much to be done. If he really loves music he won't quit the day he's 40.

As I said in another thread, he seems to like "indie"/alternative electronic music more and more : he talked about Daft Punk here and there, made the Falling edit and Waiting For So Long, released the Klahr remix of Torn Apart on Axtone, etc. I could perfectly see him going for songs with that Wild Nothing/Jupiter One feeling again in the future.
And still releasing house tracks ! Hell maybe he could even become part of an alternative rock band ? (ok let's stop making career plans for him now  )

Jokes apart, one way or another he'll keep making music for some time if he still loves too. And hopefully not as AxIng.

Agreed. SHM one last tour was all about the show, big intro, playing songs that made them big, show wise it was amazing, music wise, not so much. And than few months after this set happens. I mean the beginning of the set (COTU remode, ome of my favourites) itself points back to music, its not show anymore, its just music, feels like he turned tomorrowland into the club for his set. Its just amazing.

I would kill to go back in time and be there. I've listened to this set at least 100 times.

This is another one from the "post SHM, pre Axing"-era that i've been watching alot of times. This really shows why Ax is known as the King of Edits.

Quality is a bit bad though...

I agree somewhat on that part but i think i like it because i have a soft spot for good edits, no matter the genre. And also, a fucking party in the middle of the slopes is pretty awesome!

I don't really get that, if u edit shit it's still pretty much shit, u can't really polish that  I will give u the location but everything else is embarrassing for anything proper Axwell or House Music related :|
And i really started to dislike his "editing style" over the years...he lost that feeling for a track, he pretty much wants to "edit the edited edit"...used to love his edits but if u'r hearing it objectively he always needs to edit something or put an acapella over it...sometimes u just need to let go and go with the flow...he had such a amazing feeling for edits and, as everything else, he just crapped it away
