I wonder why nobody talked about my own remix of the track I did back in time, ahem...

Shameless sharing : http://www45.zippyshare.com/v/UoNyVto0/file.html
It's still sharing memories of the release somehow, so...
Wow dude, I'm really feeling your edit - awesome groove you created with the toms/synthie (or whatever it's called) in the drop here - do you have a proper extended mix of it? Or is this fading in/fading out on purpose?

It's extended by default, I just made the fadings here because my shameless share was especially for all of you to listen to it.
I'll make another topic in a more proper category if you wanna try my mixes ;). But for this one I am still working on it to make it more a Trap song at the end. I tested pushing up the tempo and the pitch radically, it could make something "weird" but very fun to listen to.
This edit is too close to the original for me, I wanna try something better.
Anyway, I'm glad you like it !

AXT010 In The Air
2009

This year we're in now, 2009, is viewed by most as a very nostalgic era of Axtone. Not that Axtone hasn't been providing us with new cuts that have been absolutely massive as well, on the contrary (Tokyo By Night, Arms Around Me, Paradigm, In My Mind ect ect ect)! But many people stepped in at this point due to the massive string of releases, and maybe even more important, the higher frequency of releases. This was Axtone's busiest year untill then, and from here and onwards, it was starting to look more as a standalone label rather than just a place for Axwell's tracks. It was in this year that Axtone got their prolific white borders, spacey themes and general Artwork template for the years to come, and also the very first release without the Axwell name stamped on it.

Well anyways, while 'Leave The World Behind' was still going strong as the day it got released, Axwell suprised friend and foe with a remix that was nearly, if not just as big.

I think by now we can safely say that TV Rock and Rudy are a massive pillar in Axtone's history. The three australians come together for yet another release, bringing the long awaited follow up to 'Been A Long Time'. As always, Axwell couldn't resist doing a remix and the result was...well. Simply MASSIVE.

It finally dropped the 22nd of June, alongside the debut residency of Swedish House Mafia @ Pacha. The remix naturally conquered dancefloors all over, but also did quite well on UK Radio. It even got a music video of a chick running! What made this remix so special to me, was  the fact that Axwell opened 'Axtone Volume One' with it. It works so well as an opener, despite being so anthemic, bouncy and big. For that reason, this ultra dynamic remix is one of my personal favorite Axwell productions.

 So there are two remixes? Where is the original? Well, there is an original, but it got released later on on TV Rock's NEON label instead (like In My Mind). But why? Well, Ivan Gough actually came to the forum to explain that they felt the original was quite outdated. It had been finished and lying around for a good year, or even more before Axwell decided to do something with it. So they decided that instead of going with the original, they made a (in my opinion, fantastic) remix with the awesome Luke Chable to be released alongside the Axwell mix.

Naturally, it got a bit overshadowed by that giant Axwell mix, but I still think it's a very very good remix and you should really check it out if you haven't already!

Here you can listen to the really cool original btw,

They also made a Reshape, a remix that was originally intended to replace the original mix, before that V3 version with Chable was made.

 So one last AXFACT! Laidback Luke is actually a co-producer for the Original In The Air! On the Vinyl, promo CD and various sites, he and his label are credited. I don't know why he wasn't in the track title, but maybe someone can clear that up for me?

Special record for me. It was the opening track when i saw Ax for the very first time live, B2B with Steve Angello in Paris.
Back in 2009, and their set was the best i've ever heard !!

I want to point out that this Axwell remix, Knas and Teenage Crime was THE nostalgic moment of OLT, In The Air is just so big live, it was a real surprise and a huge pleasure to hear it in a concert !

I think this remix marks Axwell's transition to more big room sounds btw

I don't think this remix is the transition to Big room Axwell, but definitely a change of style once again.
Good remix, not the best to me but I really hot the hype the first time I heard a sample on Youtube.
Still Rudy on the vocals, no need to put out how it fits perfectly to the Axwell sounds.

For a long time I also thought that this is the original, but it's actually the 'TV Rock Re-Shape'.

Seems I can’t deny some days just pass me by, you know I feel, I feel much better… At Night!

Thank you for rectifying that! One of the main reasons I've made this thread :)

I have so much thanks for this track. After I heard Leave the World Behind, I naturally starting searching through the 4 collaborators, and then I discovered this track by Axwell, which was a track that I'd been looking for for about a year (shazam wasn't around then I don't think). They played this track on an ad for So You Think You Can Dance Australia, and I loved it but couldn't find out who it was. Then LTWB came along and I started researching Ax, and found out that the track I was looking for was by him, that fueled me to keep looking through his other songs, all of them, and my life has never been the same since.

It's funny how one click of a youtube link and one Ad for a tv program can change your life, in ways that I can't possibly imagine, I wouldn't be on this forum for a start, I may have never continued to produce music, I may have never discovered Ax, and by extension: house music. LTWB was the address to the house, but In the Air was the key to the front door.

Awesome!!! I think Axwell has been very good to you Australians and vice versa! A lot of tunes seem to have appeared on Aussie radio/tv only. You guys were ahead of your time
