Happy birthday Axtone!!! It's been a wonderful journey so far and I'm absolutely stoked for the future!
Thought that on this special day, it's more than appropriate day to look back on one of the best release the label has brought forth...
AXT019 Axwell - Heart Is King
2011
'Heart Is King'. This ultra Axwell classic stands as one of the center pieces of Axtone as a label. The artwork, the track title, the impact and of course the track itself embodies Axwell and Axtone their quest for ever forward thinking records, while at the same time keeping ideas like 'vibe' and 'soul' as the very basis.

So in 2009, Axwell started one of his most legendary solo tours in continental love of his life, Australia! It was the final ride before his then still planned album-year, and he decided to bring along some album tracks to spoil the aussies with. One of those records was Heart Is King, which you can see him teasing above. The video shows Axwell working on Heart Is King in November 2009, a month before the tour kicked off.
This ID, became the center piece during his trip around Australia. Because apart from bringing an arsenal of new tracks, Axwell and his team also surprised the aussies with a MASSIVE LED heart, serving as a awesome backup for during his sets.

Naturally, the new ID's gained a lot of attention, with this track in particular. The giant LED Heart just phazing in and out to the beat of HIK became a sight to remember. It wasn't until April 2010 that it became teased again in a video called "Heart 2010", probably referring the the album project to come that year.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vUyiAuQkXC0
Nothing But Love followed and dominated said year, baring the same giant LED heart we came to love from stereosonic 2009, but still no Heart Is King....
But suddenly, videos starting to pop up of Axwell playing it again, and then finally on april 2010, the teaser was posted where all his fans had been so desperately waiting for.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vsJ4p4WxblQ
Who can forget the beautiful 3D model of Axwell his lifelong logo unfolding before their eyes, the LED's pulsing to the gorgeous melody as it did in Australia all those months ago. That wait was over!
For me, this is perhaps the ultimate Axwell track. It's unique, powerful, modern but at the same time so very very soulful. It was perhaps not only the centerpiece of his tour, but maybe also the centerpiece of his ever unreleased album. Again the logo, the message, the vibe, it was all there. The entire track just screams axwell like no other.
It was all the reason for me to finally log in to that ancient Axwell Forum account that was laying around unused for so long, and finally post my very first forum reply in the HIK thread. And here I am, 4 years later looking back on this absolute classic on Axtone's 10th birthday.
What a label

well... and more to say? best intro from Axwell in his sets? Heart LED, Open Your Heart Acapella ?
just watch this video made 5 years ago in this date, 23.5.2010, the same date of axtone's birthday!
