I can imagine, the standard sylenth preset called "kettle" is all over the song. I wouldnt have enjoyed it back then I presume.

AXT021 Resurrection (Axwell's Recut Club Version)
2011

So, how is any other Axtone track more suitable to today's events than this one? In early 2011, the label had a huuuge hiatus skipping the entire summer of said year. The label definitely had longer time periods without a release in the early days, but this felt different as 2010 and early 2011 were the first years that Axtone was looked at as a fulltime independent label rather than a place for Axwell to release his and his friends their demos on.

Well anyways, the track naturally became a forum favorite because of it's more or less vintage sound. But surprisingly, despite being an instrumental housey record, it ended up becoming a pretty big global radio hit! I can still remember attending a game in the Kuip (stadium of dutch football club Feyenoord Rotterdam), and suddenly this track came out of the speakers during the warmup!

The artwork is really fantastic as well, and it might have been one of the reasons why the vinyl ended up being sold out in no time. Nowadays, it's virtually impossible to find one on the market due to not only it's low pressing numbers, but also because of it being such an holy grail amongst collectors (I think after LTWB, this vinyl is still in the highest demand right now!).

Finally, as all of you might now, Axwell's name on the record turned out to be literally a recut of a few seconds (revealed in one of the Refune Podcast episodes I think?). So although the bossman might have helped a bit in terms of the final mixdown, a lot of kudos must go to Calfan. He would return to the label a few years later with a remix, but haven't come near to the label since. Let's hope that that will change soon!

Oh, and also don't forget to make that Resurrection / Together mashup!

Axwell cut 30 sec of the 1st drop, that's why it's called "Re-Cut"!

Michael Calfan said it in a video, but can't find it back
"You showed us, and the world, that Paris is much more than the Eiffel Tower and Mona Lisa..."
Axwell, Bercy @ Paris, Saturday, December the 8th 2012.

Fun fact:
This song was originally debuted by Axwell on Radio 1's Essential Selection [2011-09-16]. And he played the original version instead of his recut!

Longer version (and maybe an earlier version, compared to the one above):

As mentioned before, the drop is 30s shorter in axwell's recut (it lasts 1 min in the original mix). And more: different intro/outro and FX and other little adjustments.

There are a lot of differences between these 2 versions. I'd say that one of the last things Axwell did in this track was the recut.

And by the way, when Ressurection was released Michael Calfan was only 18 or 19 years old. We know this guy for a long time and he's still a young producer.

Was just thinking today - I know it took a while to get to AXT050 (9+ years). But if you Think About It ( 8-) ) it's been less than two years since AXT040 (Remember) and we are now approaching AXT061 once Aware, Siren Song, and Torn Apart get released (not to mention maybe TAI and Belong possibly on the label as well). That means at this rate, we might see the legendary Hundredth release in 3 years. Crazy to think that!
Maybe I'm too hopeful for the future, but that might be a good time to release the most legendary unreleased track, the "original" Dark River :D
