I could only wish that Organ part and transition were a little longer! Great intro!

What a song, it was growing on me pretty long, but now I think it's one of the best Axtone's release as well. Remember the legendary MSG set and first time I heard it.

I agree with you, I even tweeted them about this sometime ago, here you have Jens' daughter happy with it: https://instagram.com/p/jemiYnJId8/Vinelli wrote:Does anyone actually have the In My Mind vinyl?! I think I need to correct myself by saying this release is actually the rarest of them all. I have never even seen a pic of it!

I've never ever seen a copy come up for sale... That picture from Jens' daughter with the vinyl is the only picture I ever saw of it...julitoco wrote:I agree with you, I even tweeted them about this sometime ago, here you have Jens' daughter happy with it: https://instagram.com/p/jemiYnJId8/Vinelli wrote:Does anyone actually have the In My Mind vinyl?! AXT023 Hard Rock Sofa - Quasar
2012
Hard Rock Sofa. A year prior to this, they already had a release on axtone in the form of Blow Up. But that release was so heavily dominated by the Axgold/HookNSling reworks, it never really felt like a proper HRS track to me. I doubt if anyone prefers the original over one of the remixes, and it's no surprise that it got pretty snowed under at the time...
BUT, in 2012 the duo had their revenge with one of the most brutal Axtone tracks to date. It was at this time, Axtone was really setting up some focus to the club side of dance music.

Quasar was ofcourse a reference to a really old Axwell alias, called Quazar. Quazar was a project in the most earliest of axwell's electronic music making days, where he used Fasttracker2 to create this mixture of Techno and 16 Bit styles tracks, often dubbed as Chiptune.

I think the wink to Axwell's alias sprouted from the spacethemed break, but the rest of the track is something else completely. Nevertheless, it's one of my personal favorites from Axtone. I don't even like these types of loud tracks, but Quasar in my eyes is completely unique. The bassline, the use of white noise, the many details and simply just the intensity of the entire track is something you won't come across much often anymore. At least I haven't!
Also, the teaser for In My Mind was awesome but the one for QUASAR just took the cake, put it on another cake and added 5 extra layers of icing on top. The amount of details, perfect alignment with the track and just sheer work that has been put into it just brings a smile to my face!

It maybe also highlights the heavy space theme on this record, which is still a thing I like to link the label with. Love it.
