Tiesto is hype, it's all he's ever been. He won't even play trance anymore, he is playing Axwell rip-offs and all, wtf!!

Dirty that's just not true - Tiesto played his part in the development of electronic music... still - he can't reach Axwell of course!

I don't think he's ever reached Paul van Dyk's shoes regarding trance and it's development. And so much hype around him makes him the David Guetta of trance music. So I'm gonna have to disagree :) If I'm forced to trance, I'm taking PVD or AVB over Tiesto anytime.

I caught part of his set at Ultra a few weeks ago and it was so mediocre. ZERO MIXING, it was like a mixtape, if you tell me the show was recorded, I'd totally believe you. He played the same songs all trance DJs were playing last year, such as Madagascar or Connection of love... only that we're in freakin 2009, so it just sounded old.

I will give him a lot of credit for the entertainment part, though. The lights, the projections, the pyrotechnics... all of it was good, I can't deny it. I think the future of electronic music is to further explore the 'live performance' path, like Daft Punk or Tiesto himself have done. Sharam is now touring with different artists to perform live, with dancers coreographed by some top guy from Cirque du Soleil, with special projections and everything... So it becomes a 'concert', a 'special event', and he makes a difference. Tiesto does do that, so big up for that. The rest, I just said before :)

I disagree again Dirty: Trance needs far less mixing compared to House - and Tiesto made some great tracks like Love Comes Again or Traffic...

Now it seems to me like he doesn't know where he stands - but that's maybe because house is on the advance! Still I aprreciate what he did for the electronic-music-szene...
