I've always been into music and played a lot of different instruments back since i was a kid, but now I'd like to try out my piano skills again.
I'm not any good at all, but I love playing!
The piano in It's true is so epic, that I'd like to give it a shot to play it myself!
I've totally lost my tonenic (or whatever it's called in english) ears, so I'd hope for some help by you guys! Could you please give a shot to find out the chords for the song, please?
I only need the chords, I can find out the rest myself.

Damn, I've the same problem...
I played piano fpr about 10 ten years, but obviously not good enough.
The piano in "It's true" is indeed great, but I'm sorry, I can't help you any more... maybe some else with more talent!

Axcellent!
Axcellent!
ok the bass notes (fundamentals) are D, C#, B, F#, G#, A, so i guess this song is written in A-Major. The CHords are D-major, C#minor, B-minor, F#-minor, G#minor, A-major. But it also could be that the last three chords are F#-minor, G#° ([double] diminished), A add9.

The only instrument I always wanted to learn was classical piano... man, it's just so beautiful... But I stuck to the bass, can be pretty cool as well...

Thanks man. I tried to play it with the chords before you edited your post, and it was something wrong with those minor chords.jeanp wrote:ok the bass notes (fundamentals) are D, C#, B, F#, G#, A, so i guess this song is written in A-Major. Do you have a chance to post the verse chords as well?
Thanks man!

hm .. but these (F#-minor, G#° ([double] diminished), A add9.) sould work for you .. ?!
i will try to update the verse next week cause im at work and cant figure that out right now. but might not be a big problem to get the chords used in the verse.
in general salem played the chords very very alterated in some parts so its not that easy to figure that out, and the song is very fast played. he adds some 9th instead the root note and stuff like that used in jazzmusic. he's brilliant. but its getting a bit easier if u know what fundamentals are used. than build the triad chord over it and look how it sounds. try out if its a major or minor chord and in most cases u have the right chord. u'll declare then if this major chord for instance sounds as u wanted it or if u need to deminish it or alterate it in any way.

in the end it wasn't that easy, as i expected

Hey jean, i didn't see the edit you did until now! It's great!
I'm currently at my summer place now so I don't have the piano here at the moment, but I played it on my guitar and it sounds great!
You've done some great piece of work there I can see. Hard to figure out the dim's and add's! Respect.
I can't wait to get home and give it a shot on the piano! Defenatly worth some hours to learn how to play
thanks a lot, you are talented!
