Makes sense since they’ve all been releasing these same ‘bangers’ on their labels. No matter how underground or artistic they try to shape their image, the SHM project is aimed at mass appeal.

Is this really the trend they’re trying to champion, though? Feel like SHM could go in a lot of different directions that aren’t quite so underwhelming.

I don’t dislike this sound to be 100% honest, it’s great energetic stuff I throw in my headphones when running or lifting. But it’s so similar that I don’t need any kind of curated mix at all, just hit shuffle and everything sonically blends together (in a generic way).

I totally agree.

Quite the phat sound, but it lacks soul. The break is awesome though!
Feels like a phase begins again. Too much of the same epic sound just yields it all sounding too much alike and not unique.

Guess I'm in the minority here but I personally really like the track. Sure, its in that edgy darker genre that is starting to rise but its a great example of it done right and feels very very well produced, especially the little things like the drum panning on the drop. Personally wouldn't mind to hear more of this kind of stuff from Corey.
