Alesso Thread

Generally im pretty dissapointed and uninterested for this guy nowdays. I mean, Tear The Roof Up was fresh and great but the rest of his unreleased tracks are IMO average to bad. All heroes scars for life or sweet escape whatever are standard vocal melodic tracks but they really lack mostly everything. Vocals are boring, melodies are not euphoric and giving you an emotional feeling like City of Dreams for example. And energy is lacking big time. Just pop like radio standard tracks that when he didn't release for so long you would expect something great.. Would love a Clash follow up i think its one of his best tracks.same here. Last track I digged from him was his remix 'Lose Myself'MrHouse wrote:Generally im pretty dissapointed and uninterested for this guy nowdays. Reading these posts, I understand why some guys are starting to get bored or not like Alesso so much these days and I think it can be agreed that he had waaay too long of a break for such a 'big' artist. Anyone who's a sucker for melodic, progressive house (I confess) I can say probably love the new tracks because it's the great vibes of progressive house with Alesso's quality production skills.
Honestly, there's way too much 'EDM' and 'big room' right now, even though what Alesso is making isnt above and beyond anyone else, I'd say it's his true style and he does it extremely well and it's much better than him making Beatport Top 10 shite.
I was almost front row at Creamfields UK 2 weeks ago and I can tell you the ENTIRE place was fucking ecstatic and his set was amazing, especially with TTRU intro and the new tracks closing it out

I love melodic progressive house, its basically my main style. But those tracks simply are not good enough. They don't have the edge that Payback In My Mind or Tokyo By Night has. You can find way better melodic tracks than these ones. But obviously coming from a name such as Alesso people will ''love'' it without thinking about it. Don't really care if they are unique or not but they just lack emotion energy and euphoria. At least for meJamesForTW wrote:Reading these posts, I understand why some guys are starting to get bored or not like Alesso so much these days and I think it can be agreed that he had waaay too long of a break for such a 'big' artist. Alesso hasn't made a good track since 2011...Nillionaire/Dynamite EP was some real club house, later on he only made cheeseer and popish tracks...but, would love to see that Nillionaire 2013 Rework released somehow...Alesso isn't progressive melodic house, if u want that then listen to Mr. Prydz, Jeremy Olander, Fehrplay or CLMD...Alesso is just pop house with high pitched melodys for 12 year olds...Raise Your Head was ok, Pressure remix was awesome and Good Love Remix was nice...everything else is pure pop cheese...just my opinion anyway...

If it sounds good, it is good.
