Avicii Thread [PRMD Records]
Bottom post of the previous page:
really shocked by this.Even if i wasn't his biggest fan after his true album (this one got me through some really tough time) i feel very bad.
Tim was -without any doubt- one of the biggest pioneers in the whole dance music scene.
The world hast lost an way too young legend!

i'm so fcking heartbroken... Tim was the reason i started listening to EDM... RIP Tim

Although I wasn't a huge fan I always admired his productions.
Does anyone remember his Creamfields set from 2012? Pure fire

Well shit... Wish this wasn't true I am giving him the credit for opening the doors into prog. house and showed me what Sweden has to offer. Giving me Swedish House Mafia, then Axwell, Eric Prydz, Alesso, Otto and Klahr. When everyone was changing their style and sound, Tim always sticked to his own thing and didn't follow the crowd and continued what I loved about these guys, being creative and original. When he made it big with True I still felt Avicii in the album and appreciated him trying to bring house to the world.
We lost a valuable member of the mafia today... Rest in Peace Tim
Edit: This man deserves like a Michael Jackson style postmortem album with all the songs he didn't release because of Ash and I wish I got the chance to watch his doc (off Netflix at the time) to understand what really went down.
Edit Edit: Would y'all mind if collabs were released in memory of Tim or nah?

"This time for life"-Axwell -Michael Scott
I can vividly remember the days Levels was a big hit in the clubs and seeing him play live for the first time. Avicii really changed the game and opened up house music to so many people including even my parents. It really feels absurd to hear about someone my own age passing away, way too early.
I can only hope you’ve found your peace Tim

What a sad day!
I follow him since Luke's forum and always been impacted by his talent.
Remember when I listened his greatest production, in my opinion, thousand times in my iPod:

On a day like this it doesn't even matter if me, you, or someone else didn't like his recent music.
What matters is that a creative person has passed away. Be it EDM or pop, he always did something that stood out.
Whether it was too much pressure, bad habits, psychological issues or whatever, that's just something unnecessary right now.
Music is the first thing that comes in mind. And for that he'll be remembered.
If there's heaven, and especially if there was a festival up there, they just found a new headliner.

Why don't people do the things they say they're gonna do, before it's too late
