"The #1 hit single "Wake Me Up!" by Avicii was streamed on Pandora 168 million times in the U.S. The royalties? $12,359, which was spilt between publishers and 3 songwriters."

Thoughts guys?

Surprisingly low, but my thoughts are that many times these are songs I would never buy or even look at. I would not have bought Avicii's new album or anyu of the new songs, so is it free money they are getting out of me?

Still is very very low, it should be higher

No doubt he'll be doing a tour each year like he did with his album True, I hope he'll come to Paris again !

lol, this break and vocal reminds me too much of "Sun Is Shining"... then country kicks in and everything is going right, but?...

or maybe because it's actually late and I didn't sleep much?

Maybe because Avicii had Salem al Fakir record the old vocals? It sure sounds like him to me, and they've done songs in the past, so it wouldn't surprise me.

You may be right, I don't follow Avicii much, so I didn't know that he collaborated with Salem too :)
