I used virtual dj for fun before i bought my first CDJ's, but one thing I remember i really missed was hotkeys for turning the EQ's. Is that possible? To assign hotkeys to the EQ faders on both channels up/down?

Nice tracklists going on here, I'll download and put them on my ipod and listen to them when I work out :)

I'm just getting started with my mixing, and won't get some CDJs until the summer when I go back home (I'm spending a year in California) so VDJ is what I got for now :) But glad you liked the tracks! Expect something much better around the summer, when I get started with some proper tools :)

maybe u ve heard my mix and i dont have any equipment too... but i use Traktor Dj Studio i think its really class... it has many effects u can make much better beatmatching and many other stuff... u can be creative in it not like in VDJ i use b4... but its still just computer and u dont have 2 hands at once (i use keyboard but still)... this year i ll get 1000 Euro i think i can afford pair of 200 CDJs and some DJM 400 mixer...

Ah Peter - no CDJ 200 - you can't learn mixing with them - the Jog Dial is so bad - compared to the other CDJs...

I would recommend who wait till you can effort at least the CDJ 400 - you will have far more fun - believe me... and after using the 800 or 1000 you won't be able to play on "lower" CDJ's any more :)

I just wanna be sure of what to buy, because I have a MacBook Pro that I want to use for my mixing, that's for sure... so I don't know what should work the best out for me.

Well if you really can get them for 800 bucks it's fair enough. I guess they are second hand, so check them carefully because usually there is a reason why people give their Pioneer DJ equipment that cheap away...

Of course the 800 MKII is far better then the 400 - but actually they don't have all these features, BUT, if you can handle a CDJ 800, you can handle a CDJ 1000 (at least the most important fuctions), and if you can handle a CDJ 1000, you can play anywhere in the world! ;)

I haven't used the 400 yet, but I 've tested them and the players are really ok - especially their features like the roll etc... - if you don't have at least a DJM 600 they are useful. The Jog Dial, which is for me the most important thing, is small but good - still not that precise like the one form the 800 or 1000 (I personally like the 800 MKII most).
