i'll make a wild guess and say, that 12"Mixes are fitting perfectly on one side of a 12"record (accurate cutted).. 12" Mixes are "most likely" between 8 and 10 Minutes, it depends to the advance of the stylus if u cut an piece of vinyl. So i would say its an system what tells a littlebit how long that song might be. like radio edit always round about 3:30min.
